We believe
our clients receive a substantially increased value in their
transactions with the services of Amvest. This increased value added
often exceeds the amount of our fees.
When
representing sellers, we are compensated on a success basis with a
modest initial retainer upon signing our engagement agreement.
When
representing buyers in a proactive search, we are compensated on a
success basis for each transaction with either a modest one-time
retainer or monthly retainer depending on the scope of the engagement.
The retainers are generally credited against our success fee paid by the
buyer at closing. Buy-side agreements also contain provisions for
reimbursement of out-of-pocket travel expenses.
Equity and
debt financing assignments vary by the type and scope of the engagement.
For
services such as valuations, pre-sale positioning, keep/sell decisions,
and market research that do not lend themselves to a success fee, we
perform our services on an hourly or per project basis plus
out-of-pocket expenses.
In all
cases, we tailor a fee structure or other compensation to fit the
assignment. Our fee arrangements are detailed in every formal engagement
agreement.
